Working With Deaf Audiences
We support organisers by advising on:
1. How ISL access is communicated publicly and clearly
2. Where ISL interpretation is positioned within the event narrative
3. How Deaf audiences are welcomed as part of the overall audience experience
Accessible events are most effective when Deaf audiences are considered from the outset.
This approach leads to stronger engagement, improved audience experience, and repeat attendance.

Stage Interpreting Ireland works collaboratively within Ireland’s wider ISL interpreting landscape.
We do not compete with general ISL agencies. Services outside our specialist remit - including medical, legal, educational and community interpreting - are actively referred to established providers. Likewise, we accept referrals for specialist performance-led work.
A Specialist Focus - Not a General Agency
Focuses exclusively on performance-based work, including:
1. Festivals and multi-day programmes
2. Concerts and touring productions
3. Theatre, comedy and spoken-word performances
Ireland has strong ISL provision across medical, educational, legal and community settings. Live performance environments, however, require a different delivery model.
This specialist focus allows us to deliver consistent, professional ISL access that reflects the pace, tone and demands of live events.
